Sense of Place

This body of work is influenced by being part of a family where Welsh culture, although highly respected, is also subtle and understated. This eloquent Celtic influence lies deep within her subconscious from which her work explores her sense of place. She interprets places that are important to her whilst deciphering memories and intrusively delving into the emotion of security and fear of the unknown with a nostalgic essence. By capturing light, movement and atmosphere effortlessly in her work the onlooker becomes swathed within it; lost in a moment in time where they question their own sense of place and its impact on their own emotions and memories.
